Their menu is heavy on the pork with a selection of sausages and pulled pork. Central to things is something called A Good Porking (£8), which brings together both their sausage and their pulled pork in one mighty bun.
The women running the van were tremendously good value. Not only was their banter first class, they did a good job in steering me towards the bacon and black pudding sausage as the one I should try.I was quickly on my way with a heavily stuffed, cheese and pickle-topped pork-fest.
Aside from the bun, which could use a bit of work, it was a satisfyingly tasty and filling treat. The sausage was a real character item, packed with flavour. The pulled pork had good moisture and the pickles were nicely crisp, so I was left with a favourable impression. So overall, I consider myself an admirer of the sausage as purveyed by I Love Sausage. Top class chat elevates their food, which is just hovering around 3.5 stars, to give an overall 4 star experience. Their porky treats make for fun eating times. The same menu is available at a stall with a much more mundane name at this weekend’s Foodies Festival.
