We’ve visited Tea at 94 on numerous occasions as it has been the location for our monthly Book Group meetings over the past year and more. During that time the owner, Michelle, has looked after us in grand style. In particular, I’ve sampled some excellent teas from their selection, mainly supplied by Jenier. I never specify my order now, instead allowing my choice to be made for me.
On today’s visit, I opted for their soup and sandwich deal. The soup was pea and leak and my sandwich choice was hummus and pepper.Today’s tea was spiced apple and was deliciously sweet, but had a slightly alarming appearance with a deep blood-red hue. As is usually the case with the teas I’ve tried here it was unusual and rewarding.
The soup was very good, with bags of flavour flowing through a hearty broth. The sandwich, on delicious wholemeal bread, was similarly tasty.I just about managed to resist finishing with a cake before I departed the simply appointed, elegantly corniced room and returned to workaday life.
So overall, Tea at 94 continued its excellent form on my visit, today. It’s a lovely little oasis of calm and can be relied upon to produce excellent quality. I’d strongly recommend a visit at your earliest opportunity.Scores
