Khushi’s is an Edinburgh institution, having been tending to our curry needs since 1947.
They have a restaurant on Antigua Street, which is OK, if a little unspectacular, but they also have Mithas, which is our favourite restaurant in Edinburgh, too, so we’re big fans of what they do.
The latest horse in their stable is a curry van, known as Khushi’s on the Move. It’s currently parked in George Square, as part of the wonderful parade of street food stalls that have congregated there.
Although we have slipped off the wagon and loaded up on the odd piece of venison, and the occasional pulled pork roll, of late, our month of fairly virtuous, veggie-dominated Festivalling is still broadly on track.

It proved to be highly efficient at dealing with my hunger, but wasn’t quite as good as a similar dish I’d had at the Mosque Kitchen, the previous day.
Still, the warmly spiced mix of chickpeas and potatoes did hit the spot nicely, so you’ll be well served on your stop, here. Service is quick and efficient, too, so it’s a good choice for rapid refuelling.
