Pizza Geeks

Mansized Naan and Massive Schnitzel’s Verdict

We’d both visited the Pizza Geeks street pizza stalls at various locations around the city, so it was exciting to see them open their first shop on Dalry Road.

The place is great for a midweek treat. We shared a starter, two pizzas and two glasses of delicious malbec for £30 which was really, really good.

The starter was dragon balls. This is basically your choice of two ingredients – we chose goat’s cheese and pepperoni –
twisted through some dough balls with garlic oil. They were very good.

For pizzas we chose the Braveheart (salumi, black pudding and haggis topping) and the Wildling (goat’s cheese, spinach and squash with chilli jam).

Both featured bases that were firm enough to hold the weight of the toppings while having fluffy crusts and good crispness. We were very happy.

We’re glad to have the Pizza Geeks nearby to work and home so will be back for more dragon ball combinations and pizza fun soon.
