January 14, 2018 Breakfast, Musselburgh 2 Comments

It had been an age since I’d been in Musselburgh so when I stepped off the bus on a slightly damp Wednesday, I was pleased to be presented with a very acceptable looking breakfast option on the High Street.

Called Harvest, it made mention of offering various healthy options but with #sausagequest in mind I was pleased to see that they also served breakfast rolls.

Upon entering the simple counter set-up I was warmly welcomed by the French owner who was a delight throughout with her warm banter.

I was in simple link sausage roll mood so ordered this. The sausages had been part cooked with the counter woman finishing them off on a sandwich press.

With things duly prepared, I was on my way munching as I walked. It proved an enjoyable morning eat with sandwich press having been used to good effect to give the sausages some nice char stripes. It hit the spot with little fuss.

So overall, I was impressed with Harvest. I have reason to be in Musselburgh fairly regularly over the coming months so I hope to find other good places. When you’re next here give Harvest a look.
