After a mighty impressive lunch at Alchemilla, I was in need of a coffee on my stroll back towards the city centre. I stopped at The Cran’ which was new to me.
I’d spotted bags of Dear Green beans in the window so was optimistic I’d receive a reliably good espresso.
As I arrived I had a moment to take in the quirky interior that was full of on-trend artistic flair. It felt really smart and I liked it very much.
I duly ordered a Dear Green espresso (£2) and the friendly counter man was swiftly about the task of preparing it.
While he did, I surveyed the food options which were all veggie and vegan with very good consideration of gluten free needs, too. I should pop back to give them a go at some point.
The coffee was even better than expected. It was prepared expertly and was a lovely bright and well balanced shot. I was highly impressed.
So overall, The Cran’ looks to be an excellent new coffee option in this part of town. It has a good feel to it and the staff team are warmly welcoming. I’d recommend it to you next time you’re in these parts.
