Taste of China
Saturday evening after a couple of decent rugby games as background viewing meant that the takeaway menus beckoned.
With my sister Anne and nephew Ally visiting, Chinese was agreed upon by consensus verdict. I gave the internet a good scour eventually alighting upon Taste of China as a likely provider.
We ordered to a fairly familiar pattern choosing the mixed starters, then a rice dish, a noodle dish, some veggies, a char siu dish and other bits and bobs. The bill came to £34.40.
Items were delivered promptly a little ahead of expected time. We inspected everything, took some photos, then loaded plates with a selection of the stuff.
Highlights were the light and flavour-packed veggie spring rolls, the crisp and spicy tofu, tasty duck with the chow mein, and the hearty fried rice.
Everything else was decent without being too spectacular.
So overall, Taste of China did a pretty good job of addressing our Saturday evening takeaway needs. Make sure to try their spring rolls if you order from them as they are a good bit better than the standard fare. I’d be happy to order from them again.
