In a close re-run of the circumstances that led me to Pasha’s door a few days previously, I grabbed a quick lunch at Glasgow city centre takeaway Ti Amo, just recently.
The similarities to Pasha continued with Ti Amo’s competitive lunchtime deals. I took a moment to consider things before settling on the lamb shish wrap. For the princely sum of £3.95 this came with chips and a can of pop, too.
Items were freshly prepared and soon with me. I chose a can of original, full fat cola as my drink, although I didn’t drink that until later on the homeward train.
The chips had been prepared in the proper chippy fryer so were really very good. The wrap featured a really good flatbread and impressive meaty filling. The lamb was really satisfyingly chunky. It made for good eating.
So overall, Glasgow seems to do this style of quick and inexpensive lunchtime grub on the go very well indeed. I really enjoyed Ti Amo and will definitely be back when time and resources are tight. Pop in next time you’re in the neighbourhood.
