On St Mary’s Street, the place has apparently been there for around fifteen years. It certainly feels settled and the interior, although quite small and cramped, provides a suitable little space to wait for things while the friendly counter man makes your items to order.
On this visit, I ran into one of the chaps from Wildest Drams, so I passed on my thanks to him for a rather tasty lunch, the other day.I stuck with the winning formula from the previous visit by ordering their pizza moratti, which comprised chicken, egg and spinach. I’m a huge fan of an egg on a pizza so always tend to order it when I spot it on the menu.
With my boxed item in hand, I wandered along the road, eating as I went. As with the previous visit, the pizza was really excellent. The chicken was delicious and the egg just lovely. I’m pretty much convinced that it’s the best takeaway pizza I’ve come across in the city.So overall, I was hugely impressed with Moratti. I’d highly recommend it for a visit. If, like me, you like the egg on pizza thing order the moratti and I think you’ll be mighty pleased. I look forward to future visits, where I may be tempted to try some of their other toppings, although…
