The second thing that had me intrigued about the place was the mention on their specials board of a number of Welsh dishes. As far as I’m aware, that makes D-licious the only place in the city offering these delights, so that’s worth noting.
My requirement today was for a hearty breakfast roll, to chase away the dreadfully stormy weather that was in full cry, outside. I opted for a doubler of scrambled eggs and bacon, topped with brown sauce.
The friendly counter man was quickly about the task of preparing things, with my well-stocked roll soon with me. I ate on the go, buffeted this way and that by the swirling wind.
The roll proved to be very good, with soft and well-seasoned eggs accompanied by plentiful bacon, all wrapped up in a good, fresh morning roll. It was a jolly lovely way to start what was the first official working day of 2014.
So overall, I liked my visits to D-licious, very much. I’m intrigued to go back and try some of their Welsh specials, so will need to do that, soon. For now, I can recommend the place for a good breakfast feed.
