Review of the Year 2014 – December

And finally, we had December, which brought its usual thrills and spills.

On the spills, Meanwhile Cafe and Pickle & Custard were poor, so it would be good to see them both improve in 2015.

The Water of Leith Cafe Bistro, The Counter, Gino’s, and Bert’s were all really good, though.

We braved the “world banquet” at Hot Flame. It was certainly an experience and proved to be the most popular review of the month.

New Polwarth cafe Odds & Ends was very stylish, Pera was a nice slice of Turkish homestyle cooking and Tapame was a good value Greek/Spanish tapas place.

And that’s just about that. 2014 was a fabulous year. We breakfasted, lunched and dined in some great place; the lowpoints were generally few and far between. Here’s to another fabulous year of food and drink in 2015.

The most popular reviews of the year were:

1. Rollo
2. The Apiary
3. Carluccio’s
4. Ninja Buns
5. Giovanni’s
6. Street Bar
7. Tony Macaroni
8. Noodles n Ice
9. Mother’s
10. Bluebird Cafe
