Review of the Year 2014 – April

April was not such a cruel month for us, at all.

We sampled excellent coffee at Cairngorm Coffee and Machina Espresso, both of which became regular haunts throughout the year.

We started our experimentation with 62 word reviews, this month. Inspired by writing group 26 that created the “sestude”, we launched our own “questudes” when lunching with one of 26’s number, Sara Sheridan, at Yeni Meze. We had much Turkish literary fun.

Tasty fish n chips at the Station Takeaway and really enjoyable grub at the Compass were other highlights.

We found our best burgers of the year at BBL, which was the most popular review of the month.

The only real lowlight was an almost inedible bacon roll from O’Brien’s, but it was an otherwise splendid month.
