Another trip to Glasgow, another quick breakfast roll on the go. I did linger in the city just recently for lunchtime trips to City Merchant and the Alston, though, so I wasn’t feeling overly guilty about talking about breakfast, once more.

Wandering up West Regent Street, I came upon Nic’s NYC Deli, on crossways Hope Street. I popped in to check it out.

This is their second branch in the city, following the success of their shop on St Enoch’s Square. This outlet is very stylishly appointed, in the diner style. I liked the look of it, very much.

I was not blessed with an excess of time, so was just grabbing a quick breakfast roll on the go. I opted for black pudding and bacon as the filling.

The friendly counter woman swiftly prepared things, so I was soon on my way.

20141014_085703The fresh, soft morning roll was very good. It encased an excess of bacon and a nice slice of black pudding. The elements came together well for satisfying mouthfuls. It pleased me very much.

So overall, I enjoyed my quick trip to Nic’s. I will need to go back for another visit, when I should sit in and try some of their dishes that have a stronger NYC link. I look forward to that.
