With a busy day ahead, I thought I’d start the day with some haggis, so popped in to Cafe Braw, on my way to work.
A wee place serving the breakfast, cake and lunchtime needs of Dean Villagers, Braw was doing a brisk morning trade, with a number of people stopping in for breakfast. Their little outdoor seating area was an attraction on this promising looking morning, too.
The welcome and banter from the counter woman, who used to work as a dietician, was entertaining. She went about the task of preparing my haggis roll very efficiently.
I was soon tucking in to a seeded brown roll, generously filled with haggis, and topped with good brown sauce. I was really pleased with it.
Good, strong filter coffee provided a suitable accompaniment, making my short stay in the compact little place rather enjoyable.
So overall, I was pleased with the fare on offer at Cafe Braw. I enjoyed my haggis roll, muchly, so would happily pop back for another visit, next time I’m passing.
