The Waterfront is a little cabin cafe at the top of Granton Square. I suspected all-day breakfast treats would be the order of the day.
Arriving in the compact premises late one morning, I was reassured that this was indeed the case.
I ordered a haggis roll from the friendly counter man. He set about preparing this using a sandwich press to cook the haggis.
With item in hand, I headed off into the gathering gloom and munched as I walked.
It proved a solid offering with two chunky slices of haggis on a fresh morning roll. It did the job with little fuss.
So overall, the Waterfront Takeaway looks to be a reliable, if rough around the edges, little cafe that will sort you out with a breakfast or snack. I’d be happy to call in again.
