Dream & Season
I’ve enjoyed a number of recent trips to Prortobello for a sunny and/or bracing stroll along the promenade. I’ve stopped at the likes of Green Kilt and Susan’s Snacks along the way.

Exterior
On this visit, once more to collect a stray parcel from the Telferton industrial estate, I popped into newcomer Dream & Season at the foot of King’s Road.
A stylish cafe bistro with a airy and bright feel to it, they’ve done good work in refitting the space and getting open to capitalise on the warmer weather.
I was visiting in late morning so had an egg breakfast in mind. I kept things simple with scrambled eggs on toast. I noticed that they were using Dear Green coffee which is usually a good sign, but a glass of water was all that I sampled drinks-wise.

Eggs on toast
My dish promptly arrived looking much as expected. The eggs were well cooked and seasoned, and the toast was crisp and of good quality.
So overall, Dream & Season looks to be a cracking new cafe option in Portobello. It was well patronized on my visit so already looks to have connected with the local and visiting audience. Give it a look next time you’re in these parts.
