Armaan’s Tasty Bites
I’d been looking for an excuse for a sneaky visit to Armaan’s Tasty Bites on Duke Street. I’d spotted it on trips to Twelve Triangles Kitchen Table and Bombay Spice and been keen to try their cheaply priced treats.
A takeaway and delivery covering many of the expected bases, my main interest was in their donner roll which was advertised for the princely sum of £2.
I’d been unaware of the phenomenon that is the donner roll until moving to Leith and discovering it on the menu at Angelo’s.
The Armaan’s version was delivered on a toasted burger bun that was crammed with meat, salad and topped with garlic sauce.
It proved satisfying eating but wasn’t quite to the standard of the one from Angelo’s. Still it was a gloriously filling bitto eat.
So overall, Armaan’s looks to be a good spot for well-priced snackage and is handy for me. If you’re in need of a cheap eat it could be the place for you. And it’s a good choice to satisfy your donner roll curiosity should you harbour such feelings.
