The Coffee Press
Ah, the glorious Shire of Ayr. Sunshine; lollipops; Kris Boyd. And it was to Kilmarnock itself that I was bound on important matters of state.

Exterior
It’s not a town with which I’m well acquainted so I was reliant upon Dr Google to give me my breakfast prescription. The suggestion was The Coffee Press so I made my way there, directly.
A compact little corner cafe, the welcome was effusively warm. My needs were simply for a bacon roll and an espresso. I caught the Matthew Algie logo but decided to risk it.

Bacon roll
The roll arrived swiftly and featured reassuring good bacon. The espresso was a well made version of a coffee I generally dislike. It was fine.
Apparently I should have gone to the social enterprise cafe, WG13, just around the corner, but that simply gives me an excuse for another visit to these parts.
So overall, I enjoyed my visit to The Coffee Press. It served a good quality bacon roll and fairly inoffensive coffee which was what was required. Give it a look next time you’re in this town.
