May 23, 2017 Leith, pizza, Take Away No Comments

My new routes home are still in need of full exploration to assess swiftness, amenities, and scran options. On one of the less complex channels, I bumped into Eatalia’s which is nestled in the welcoming arms of Vittoria and owned by another branch of the Crolla family.

My hankering was for pizza so I ordered one of them from the friendly counter folks.

I opted for my preferred combo of the moment, ham and pineapple. £8.70 for their 10″ Hawaiian seemed a little steep but I placed my order nevertheless.

To the sounds of Radio Gaga, they set about preparing my dish. It was with me soon enough. I chose to munch as I walked.

It proved to be one of the best takeaway pizzas of its type I’ve had in a while. The base was light and folded easily. The topping was of really pleasing quality. I was impressed.

So overall, Eatalias serves very good pizza. It is wildly over-priced but if you’re willing to accept that in the name of a fine pizza pie, I’d recommend it to you. For me it will be an occasional treat as I suspect I’ll be seeking out better value on my next homeward bound adventures.
