Twelve Triangles

I’m a long-standing fan of Twelve Triangles and have written extensively in praise of their coffee, macaroni pies and excellent bread.

Exterior

They’ve recently opened a new branch on Duke Street, so in true contrarian style I took a trip to their Portobello shop to see how it was getting on.

On the High Street it has quickly established itself as a local favourite with its welcoming premises and relaxed feel.

I was joined by regular guest quester Iain. We took a seat at a table complete with seasonal greenery.

Espresso

We were there for a quick coffee so ordered espresso and long black (£4.60 total).

Today’s offering was a Brazilian fazenda chapada from Steampunk. It was beautifully balanced and really comforting in its light sweetness. It was a winner.

So overall, it was good to see the Porty branch of Twelve Triangles on such fine form. I must come back and sample more of their baked goods, although I think it’s to their Duke Street big table brunch that I should prioritise my next visit. Be sure to call in regularly to one of their shops to top-up on excellent quality products.
