I was done-in after a day legging around the city doing all sorts of whatnots so couldn’t face tasks more complex than navigating a takeaway menu come tea-time.
After the usual period of indecision I compromised with a chippy and pizza combo. I chose the Stenhouse Takeaway to fulfil my needs.
The chippy element came from a burger and chip roll to start then a pizza main course with a Hawaiian topping. With delivery fees this came to a total of £11.30.
For a midweek evening it took quite a while to arrive but did so in good condition.
The roll was a monster with a good morning role defying structural integrity logic to hold a mountain of chips and a high-fat battered burger in situ throughout my munch. Although it was a filthy item, I really enjoyed it.
The pizza wasn’t quite so good. The ham and pineapple topping was satisfying but the base didn’t hit the spot.
So overall, the Stenhouse Takeaway served my indecisiveness admirably. I’d definitely order their burger and chip roll again although I might match it with something from another part of their menu rather than a pizza next time. Give it a whirl when midweek hunger strikes.
