With ice still running through my veins despite a stop at Foodstory, my Aberdonian adventure could not continue without the immediate ingestion of a fried breakfast. Accordingly, I proceeded directly to Cafe 100 on Holburn Street.
A simple cafe set up, they seem to specialise in all-day breakfasts and various other hearty items. I kept things simple and ordered their full breakfast.
It comprised two sausages, two rashers of bacon, black pudding, fried egg, hash brown, tattie scone, tomato, mushrooms, beans and toast. I added a cup of regulation tea.
The items were cooked to order soon delivered on a monster of a plate looking really pretty good.
I never tire of making the pun about the sausages being the weak link, but it was a shame in taste terms to be cracking it out again.
Everything else on the plate was very good, though. The egg had a beautifully sunny yolk, the black pudding was impressively good and the bacon rashers of very good quality. I was impressed.
So overall, Cafe 100 is doing very fine work. Their breakfast feast was a considerably filling delight. I’d be happy to visit again next time I’m in town and would recommend it to you.
