The Full Stop Cafe

On another trip to Craigmillar – it’s almost becoming a regular haunt – I thought I’d pop in to the library to see if their cafe, called The Full Stop, was any good.

The facility is really very impressive with a warm and welcoming readerly space with a cafe at the heart of it.

A simple counter set-up, the menu is quite limited but they had soup so I was ably catered for.

Today’s soup of the day was mixed vegetable. I ordered this alongside an espresso which was fine, but not worth remarking on beyond that.

The soup, which came with a fresh morning roll, was very good with a profusion of chunky vegetables including quite a lot of tasty sweetcorn. It was hearty and very pleasing stuff.

So overall, I enjoyed my trip to the Full Stop Cafe. It served me good soup and provides a friendly little cafe service to this excellent local library. Make sure to stop for soup next time you’re visiting on bookish errands.
