Linton & Co
After a fairly wet and windy day at the Fountainbridge Street Food Friday market, I popped by on my road home to see how everyone had coped with their most challenging weather conditions to date.
It was definitely a day to be in a trailer or a van, rather than battling with a fly-away gazebo stall.
My eye was caught by a new coffee trader, Linton & Co, in a dashing Citroen H van, which I later discovered is named Bernard. I had to investigate.
Showcasing coffee from Sacred Grounds, the only coffee roastery in Angus, the van has been trading at various events since last year and will be at Fountainbridge on the last Friday of every month.
I ordered an espresso (£2) from the friendly counter folks, then gave nearby fellow Citroen vanners Flat Out a wee wave. My coffee was soon with me.
It was impressively good stuff, strongly aromatic and bright. It was very good indeed.
So overall, Linton & Co is a very fine coffee purveyor showcasing impressively good locally roasted stuff from Sacred Grounds. I’d recommend tracking them down at an event and certainly making sure to try them when they’re next at Fountainbridge Friday.
