Kothel Grill House
Where Lola & Livvy’s previously traded, under the arches of Central Station, the Kothel Grill House has taken up residence. Building on their original place in the west end, they are fine purveyors of hearty delights.
My visit was at breakfast time so all I was looking for was a simple breakfast roll. My eye was caught by a mention of a crispy bacon roll so I ordered that.
This was cooked to order on the grill plate, which allowed me some time to take in the surroundings. Things are smartly configured across a compact split level, with lots of warm wood detailing and homely aromas. I liked it very much.
My roll was soon with me. I wandered on, eating as a walked.
The roll proved to be the outstanding bacon roll I’ve had in Glasgow to date. A traditional crisp morning roll was filled with profuse, crisp bacon. It made for super-satisfying eating.
So overall, this brief visit to the Kothel Grill House made me make a note to visit again and perhaps also check out their west end venue. I was mightily impressed with what I sampled so would be happy to recommend that you visit at your earliest convenient opportunity.
