Leeds!

I had a fantastic trip to the Leeds Indie Food Festival in May. It was hugely inspirational and some of the most enjoyable time I spent all year. Other inspiring events, closer to home, including the Hidden Door Festival, which we enjoyed muchly, and the Edinburgh School of Food & Wine’s Holyrood Kitchen event, which was superb.

I had a great pie from the Little Bakery, and an unexpectedly good pizza from Three Coins.

Further highlights on what was a month packed with quality included Cloisters, Spit/Fire (our busiest review of the month), Credo, Maki & Ramen, El Cartel and Slighhouse.

Epicures of Hyndland was the Glasgow highlight of the month.

Our Beer Man didn’t enjoy Wolf + Water, but that was a rare low in an otherwise excellent month.
