December 20, 2015 Breakfast, Glasgow No Comments

I had just a little more time on an early morning visit to Glasgow than usual, so had the luxury of sitting in, if I could find an accommodating cafe. Enzo’s soon presented itself just across the road from where I was heading for a meeting, on Renfield Street.

A very friendly little place where the counter staff seemed to know all of their customers by name, I was delighted to see a full breakfast for the princely sum of £3.39; £3.79 if you were sitting in like I was.

I ordered it and took a seat at one of their few shelf seats which unfussily did the job.

The breakfast was soon with me, cooked freshly to order. It comprised a good fried egg with suitably runny yolk, then more routine lorne sausage, black pudding and beans.

There was a classic crisp breakfast roll to which I added the remaining items on the plate, bacon and a really good tattie scone, then topped it with brown sauce. It worked really rather nicely. Oh, and there was a cup of builders’ tea included in the price, too.

So overall, Enzo’s is doing enjoyable breakfast work. It’s nowt fancy, but it’s a friendly, good value spot. I’d be happy to visit again.
