After a cheery wave to Jones and Son, I stopped at the Rabbie’s stall, which is focussed on sandwiches (£4.50) filled with slow cooked lamb or beef. I opted for the former.
Nicely drippy meat was topped with crunchy slaw in a fresh roll. I headed for their covered seating area to commence munching.Heavily Moroccan spiced, the first bite was very strong on cumin, but the lovely lamb meatiness soon drifted through it. This made for enjoyably tasty mouthfuls and the seeded roll brought good textural variance.
So overall, it’s another thumbs up for the food at Boxsmall. I liked my lamb sandwich very much. Make sure to come visit this great little selection of informal eateries, soon.
