Formerly the home to Vittles, the interior remains much the same, although the detailing is all in the Indian style. It’s simple and quite elegant.
The menu has some core dishes, then a range of daily specials, with a good balance between vegetarian and meaty dishes. Everything is very reasonably priced.
I opened with the paneer pakora then followed with their Sunday special, tarka daal. The dishes were freshly prepared and both soon with me.
I initially turned my attention to the pakora which were light crisp and fresh. The daal was warmly spiced and really tasty. It’s a favourite dish of mine and this was a really good rendition.
So overall, I thought Nutan’s was doing very good work. It’s always fun to catch up with Nutan and she was on fine form, today. You’ll be impressed when you visit, which you should at your earliest convenient opportunity.
