June 2, 2015 Old Town, pizza No Comments

After an enjoyably bookish evening, I found myself walking home in need to sustenance. It was to Che in Forrest Road that I headed, with hopes of pizza goodness in my heart.

With the interior wall bedecked with Che Guevara pictures, it was looking a little worn around the edges when I visited. The welcome from the counter folks was warm and friendly, though.

I was in the mood for pepperoni, so ordered that, forsaking my usual additional mushrooms just for once. Freshly prepared then shoved in the oven, it was soon with me. I munched as I walked, once the obligatory photo was taken.

It proved to be a really decent effort, with both the soft base and the plentiful topping hitting the spot very nicely. It didn’t challenge the likes of Moratti or Three Coins at the top of the takeaway pizza charts, but it was pleasing stuff.

So overall, Che is doing good work and tending to the late night needs of takeaway diners quite nicely. I’d be happy to visit again and would be comfortable pointing you in its direction.
