I won’t spin out the mystery: Glasgow; breakfast time; bacon roll. I will eat porridge one day. I promise.

Today’s venue of choice was the intriguing sounding Soup & Sandwich Bar. I will need to visit again, to try the soup, which seemed to come in three different daily changing varieties.

On this visit it was just a quick roll and a cuppa I was after, though. I had a few spare minutes, so decided to sit in. The interior wasn’t the most stylish, but it was simple and tidy enough.

I ordered at the counter, following which a crisp morning roll was soon with me. It contained a couple of good rashers of bacon and was a solidly good effort that did the job as intended.

So overall, the Soup & Sandwich Bar was a friendly if slightly underwhelming little cafe. It’s always good to add another likely looking soup place to my memory banks, so I will pop back to try it again, at some point.
