Joining fellow Cartellians, Pad BKK and Scoop, the fare on offer here showcases a flaming wood-fired oven, which cooks the pizzas in double quick time at around 400°C.
With four options, margerita (£6), pepperoni (£7), Italian sausage (£7) and a goat’s cheesey veggie choice (£7), I took a good few moments to make my decision. At last year’s Festival, I focussed entirely on veggie food, but I’m thinking I’ll try to sample a little bit of everything, this year. Accordingly, I settled upon the Italian sausage pizza.
Having placed my order with the friendly counter folks, my pizza was ready in just a couple of minutes. I collected it from the counter then took a seat at one of the picnic tables.Topped with rocket, it was a rather smart looking item. The base looked super thin and so it proved, making for light and crisp mouthfuls. Topping was delicious, particularly the tasty sausage chunks. It was a winner.
So overall, I enjoyed my trip to SoLaToDough and would recommend a visit. This is pizza done with elegance and style. It will prove a big favourite with Festival crowds.
