I visited at breakfast time, pausing during a very sunny and warm walk to work.
The interior has been given a refresh and the welcome was equally bright and breezy. I placed my order for a haggis and bacon roll. The friendly counter woman cooked items to order, promptly loading a generous portion of both items on to a fresh morning roll and topping with brown sauce, as per my specification.
It proved to be a filling and enjoyable eat, with good back bacon and profuse haggis. It set me up very nicely for a busy day of action and adventure. So overall, I thought No 63 was doing a pretty good job. Prices are very reasonable and quality is decent, so it’s another good little place for grabbing an informal snack on the go, either if you need a good feed before a Festival show or if you’re looking to ward off last evening’s excesses. I’ll be back for another breakfast roll at some point, I dare say.
