The truck is trading all day so has a comprehensive range, including breakfast rolls, burgers, salads and snacks.
I was visiting during a busy and sunny lunchtime service so opted for their salad topped with harissa roasted broccoli (£5.50). This was freshly prepared and with me in a matter of minutes.Bringing together barley, mixed seeds, green beans, mint, yoghurt, lemon and shaved courgette, it was a salad of wonderful balance, excellent textural variance and deliciously fresh flavours.
It was healthy both in its content and its portion size. I was extremely impressed with the dish, which attracted admiring glances from all who saw it, not least because it was beautifully topped with edible flower petals. So overall, it’s a well-deserved five stars for Frank. The Whitmuir folks are doing excellent work. I look forward to visiting again before the Festival is out, then seeing them on 30 August at the Tram Stop Market for the Scottish heat of the British Street Food Awards.
