With a fibreglass cow to greet you, the place is quirky in design with an astroturf tabletop another feature.
Counter service was friendly and prompt. Their menu is tightly focussed, but this was fine as I was in bacon roll mood. I matched it with an espresso.Served on a brown roll with brown sauce, as is my usual way, it proved an decently enjoyable eat. The espresso was served in a cup with a lovely pastoral scene on the saucer.
The roll was good, with plentiful thinly-sliced bacon in a fresh brown roll. It was filling and tasty.
So overall, Vittles is a decent little place. They do things in an understated and unfussy way. The only problem with such an understated approach is that it’s not a place that really captured my imagination. As such, I would guess you’d be pleased enough if you visit, but it’s not somewhere you’re likely to rave about.
