With room for four people to sit in, it’s predominantly a takeaway place. I noted a couple a things about their lunchtime selection: firstly their range of daily changing soups looked really quite impressive; and secondly their cheeses looked rather good. I’ll have to come back for a lunchtime visit at some stage.
For breakfast today my requirement was a bacon roll, which the friendly counter man set about preparing. It was topped with brown sauce and swiftly delivered.
The bacon was profuse and tasty although the texture was just a little tougher than you’d usually expect. The morning roll was good and fresh.
So overall, Armstrong’s served me very nicely. I suspect their lunchtime selection is where their real strength lies, but they did a good job of providing me with a tasty start to the day. I look forward to visiting again.Scores
