May was a very consistent month, with lots of good quality on offer.
Aside from return visits to favourites like The Dogs, The Purslane, and Angels with Bagpipes, highlight of the month was Shebeen, which offered a tremendously entertaining selection of meaty goodness.
I had my first serious foray in to the world of street food, with great visits to Land Foods and Bespoke BBQ, both of which I visited on a number of occasions in the months following.
Pinto’s, in Glasgow, was the busiest post of the month, with a deluge of new visitors to the site on the day that post was published, which is always nice. I took advantage of their very good breakfast deal, and would heartily recommend a visit, next time you’re in the west.
I was disappointed by Bia Bistrot, when I visited for lunch, but have it on my list for a revisit, to give them another chance to impress.
Overall, this was an enjoyable month, with other notable stops to mention at Wellington (lovely scones), Rotato, and the Gurkha Café.
